This instrument is based on the Stradivari Mahler. It is made with willow back and sides. It is a very good sounding instrument and was used as an example against which others were compared during the 2004 triennale competition. Despite its small size it has a bright and focused sound. Antonio Stradivari developed this design in 1697.
