Pegbox and volute

It takes me about three days to carve a scroll and one has plenty of time for introspecting and concentrating while doing this.  The tools used are gouges, bent chisels, straight chisels, and a flat file to complete the chamfer. Some classic makers made extensive use of a knife and a rounded chisel.
