Tailpiece

The weight of the tailpiece often affects the sound output of an instrument. While some cellos sound better with a boxwood tailpiece and ultra-light tuners, others need a heavier piece.  The angle at which the tailpiece is with the bridge also needs to be considered when adjusting the tone.
